CONTRIBUTING TO OUR COMMUNITIES
In 2020, we established The Duckhorn Portfolio Founders Fund (“DPFF”) with the aim to support educational programs for historically disadvantaged groups in the communities where our employees live and work. Over the past six years, the DPFF has awarded grants of over 1 million dollars to 16 organizations.
The DPFF Committee awarded grants totaling $340,000 in August 2026 to support six local organizations:
Anderson Valley Education Foundation
Children's Museum of Sonoma County: Museum on the Go
Mission Scholars
Puertas Abiertas Community Resource Center
Santa Rosa Junior College Foundation
School on Wheels
DPFF Grant Award Process and Oversight
The DPFF Committee (the “Committee”) is comprised of a diverse cross-section of employees from each of the Company's departments in order to achieve a balanced approach to grant funding selection. The search for potential DPFF grantee organizations begins with a company-wide call for nominations of organizations that meet this criteria.
After receiving nominations the Committee assesses each organization's eligibility by way of a detailed review of supplemental materials and virtual meetings with executives from the top organizations selected by the DPFF. The Committee aims to evaluate the ways in which the Company can meaningfully contribute to each organization and assesses the funding needs of each organization in accordance with alignment to the DPFF charter.
